• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  Mandatory Condition where the licence authorises the exhibition of films

  ()             Where a premises licence authorises the exhibition of films, the licence must include a condition requiring the admission of children to the exhibition of any film to be restricted in accordance with this condition.

  ()             Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless subsection (3)(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made by that body.

  ()             Where -

  (1)   the film classification body is not specified in the licence, or

  (2)   the relevant licensing authority has notified the premises which holds the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.

  ()             In this section -

                              “children” means persons aged under 18; and

  “film classification body” means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c.39)(authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).

• ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  General

   

  The Lanes is a well run shopping centre which is not only covered by CCTV but also employs security staff.

   

  The prevention of crime and disorder

   

  Where CCTV is fitted it will be maintained in good working order.

  Images on CCTV shall be retained in unedited form for a period of not less than 31 days.

   

  Public safety

   

  Clear and unobstructed access shall be available to the premises for use by the emergency services and emergency service vehicles at all times.

  A fire risk assessment for the premises has been completed to the satisfaction of Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service.

  Any spillages within the premises will be immediately cleaned and warning signs used.

   

  The prevention of public nuisance

   

  No nuisance shall be caused by noise coming from the premises or by vibration transmitted through the structure of the premises.

  The noise level from the premises whilst being used for public entertainment purposes, shall not cause nuisance to noise sensitive dwellings in the area.

  Refuse such as bottles shall be disposed of from the premises.

   

  The protection of children from harm

   

  Where any performance includes the participation of children, such children shall at all times when they are on the premises remain under the supervision of an adult.
