ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
The alterations to the premises (Applicatioon 23/05/06) will promote the licensing objectives as they will improve the supervision of the premises and the creation of an extra entrance/exit will improve safety.
Public Entertainment
The Standard Conditions for Places of Public Entertainment adopted by this Council in 2002 are applicable to this licence and are attached.
The accommodation limit of the premises, including public, staff and performers shall not exceed 250 persons.
Private Entertainment
The provision of regulated entertainment, that is, the provision of dancing, music or any other entertainment of the like kind, is prohibited (unless it is a licensable activity included in this licence) with the exception of pre-booked private events limited to pre-invited guests only.
Recorded Music
Provision may be made for the public entertainment in the premises by the reproduction of wireless (including television) broadcasts (or of programmes included in any programme service [within the meaning of the Broadcasting Act 1990] other than a sound or television broadcasting service), or of public entertainment by way of music and singing only which is provided solely by the reproduction of recorded sound.
Late Night Refreshment
Licensed premises (under the Licensing Act 1964) providing refreshment are exempt from the requirement to license late night refreshment. This exemption extends until the period of thirty minutes after the end of the permitted hours for the sale of alcohol i.e. Sundays 11pm and weekdays 11.30pm.
The prevention of crime and disorder
No irresponsible sales promotions of alcoholic beverages shall be offered to customers.
No person in possession of a drink in a sealed or unsealed container shall be allowed to enter the premises except for the purposes of delivery.
A sign will be displayed on the premises indicating the standard hours during which the sale of alcohol is permitted.
Public safety
All doors or gates both inside and outside the premises which are on an escape route shall be fitted only with approved fasteners and shall at all times be properly maintained, free from obstruction and be capable of being opened easily and fully so that they do not restrict the public leaving the premises and shall open in the direction of the escape route.
Printed notices shall be prominently displayed in the premises detailing the essential steps that must be taken if a fire is discovered or the fire alarm goes off or other emergency arises and how to call the Fire Service.
The prevention of public nuisance
No regulated entertainment of any type shall take place outside the premises in any areas which are within the licence-holder's control after 22:00 save for any special event seven days' notice of which has been given to the licensing authority and police.
All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulated entertainment is being provided except in the event of an emergency.
There shall be placed a dispersal policy / warden scheme in place to assist dispersal of clientele from the area in a swift, efficient and safe manner. Notices will be displayed at all exits from the premises in a place where they can be seen and easily read by the public, (or member and their guests) requiring customers to leave the premises and the area quietly.
The protection of children from harm
No person under the age of 16 shall be permitted on the premises after 22:00 save on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Anyone who appears to be under the age of 18 and who is attempting to buy alcohol must be required to produce proof of age before such a sale is made.
