• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  Mandatory Condition where the licence authorises the exhibition of films

  (1)       Where a premises licence authorises the exhibition of films, the licence must include a condition requiring the admission of children to the exhibition of any film to be restricted in accordance with this condition.

  (2)              Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless subsection (3)(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made by that body.

  (3)              Where -

                (a)the film classification body is not specified in the licence, or

                (b) the relevant licensing authority has notified the premises which holds the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.

  (4)                 In this section -

                   “children” means persons aged under 18; and

                              “film classification body” means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c.39)(authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).

   

   

• ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  General

   

  Plays/Cinema presentations will be held during sociable hours with entrance ticket sales subject of Film Classification and restricted to appropriate audience witrh children under care of responsible adults.

  All risk and fire assesments are reviewed regularly and are readily available to all users.

   

  Prevention of Crime and Disorder

   

        All crimes discovered within the premises will be reported to the Police.

        The committee will assist the Police with any crime enquires involving the premises.

   

  Public Safety

   

        A full and sufficient fire risk assessment will be completed to the satisfaction of Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service.

        All fire fighting equipment will be maintained in good working order.

        Fire exits will be kept free from obstruction at all times.

   

  Prevention of Public Nuisance

   

        All doors and windows of the premises will be kept closed during regulated entertainment

        No noise nuisance will be caused to residents living in the vicinity of the premises.

   

  The Protection of children from harm

     

  At childrens plays/cinema managed by the hall committee we ensure presence of CRB checked adults.  Outside users are alerted to the need for such protection.

  For Cinema presentations, age film classifications are taken into account.
