  Licensing Act 2003 Mandatory Conditions

   

  Mandatory conditions where licence authorises the supply of alcohol

  (1)              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

   

  (a)              at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  (b)              at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  (2)              The supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.

   

  Mandatory Condition where the licence authorises the exhibition of films

  ()             Where a club premises certificate authorises the exhibition of films, the certificate must include a condition requiring the admission of children to the exhibition of any film to be restricted in accordance with this condition.

  ()             Where the film classification body is specified in the certificate, unless subsection (3)(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made by that body.

  ()             Where -

  (1)   the film classification body is not specified in the licence, or

  (2)   the relevant licensing authority has notified the premises which holds the certificate that this subsection applies to the film in question, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.

  ()             In this section -

                              “children” means persons aged under 18; and

  “film classification body” means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c.39)(authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).

   

  Mandatory condition where Door Supervisors are provided

  Any individual employed on the premises to carry out a security activity must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.

   

   

• ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  General

  See below and any additional measures which you may deem necessary or desirable.

   

  The prevention of crime and disorder

  As entry is at present restricted to our members and guests or to those attending pre-booked private functions crime and disorder has never been an issue.

   

  We also have an electronic door entry system and CCTV to prevent unauthorised entry.

   

  If any problem did arise our steward is under instruction to ask any person causing trouble to leave and call Police if necessary.

   

  Public safety

  We have always complied meticulously with all requirements for fire safety i.e. alarms, escape exits, fire extinguishers, escape route notices and lighting and our alarm system and fire extinguishers are checked each year. 

   

  We also limit numbers at private functions to 120 if dining and 150 non-dining.

   

  The prevention of public nuisance

  As the premises are located in a non-residential area and the noise levels at any functions held on our premise are of a low level there is little likelihood of any public nuisance being caused.

   

  The number of persons attending are also limited (see public safety above).

   

  The protection of children from harm

  We would not permit any activity on our premises which might cause harm to children.

   

  Children are only admitted to our premises if accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
